At the Foundational level, the emphasis is on fostering the curiosity of our young community learners, building on their learning styles while ensuring that our academic goals are met. Anekam follows the 5E model of learning: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate.
Reading, Writing and Numeracy are given attention and inquiry-based learning is followed. Classrooms at the Foundational level provide flexible and personal attention and care to the young learner. Resources are available for the young learner within the spaces provided in the learning zone. Our teachers are very caring and engage the child in a manner that enables them to build a strong academic foundation: literacy and numeracy skills, spoken language and physical education. The focus is on games and outdoor activities that enable the child to explore new ways of thinking and interaction. Teachers focus on cultivating strong social and emotional skills in the child at these levels the teacher identifies the passion of the child and understands the learning style of each child.
