Anekam has well-designed, spacious, and airy classrooms that suit the learning style of every age group learner. Furniture is grade-level appropriate and arranged so that collaborative learning is facilitated. Daylight in the classrooms has been looked into, and we believe in a stress-free classroom learning style. Learning through visuals is important to us. Each classroom has adequate display spaces for student work, cubbies for storing books and resources, and spaces for easy movement for the teacher and the learner. Our classrooms are digitally equipped, making learning exciting and easy to understand. Wifi-enabled classrooms help teachers enhance the teaching-learning experience with easy access to online resources. Smart classrooms also enable us to ensure that gadgets are used for teaching and learning and that paper and pen usage is limited.
The Art Studio is a gallery where student work is displayed. The Art teachers indulge students in learning pottery, sculpture, painting, needlework, crafts and other discussions and workshops. The Music Studio is predominantly the space for instrumental and vocal music, the chorus gathering, and a place for training and performance. The Dance Studio has students learn both classical and contemporary dance in this studio from professionals. Dance disciplines include Indian dances, folk dances, Bollywood and Western dances, Zumba fitness, self-expression classes and theatre sessions.
Anekam has both Junior and Senior libraries with a variety of books on various subjects apart from books and a collection of short stories, novels, reference books, encyclopedias, dailies, magazines and journals. Storytelling sessions and workshops on puppetry, reviews of books, writer sessions, book weeks, reading programmes, fests and other library activities are hosted regularly in the libraries. Anekam also has a well-resourced digital library.
Anekam has two labs: Junior School lab and Senior Computer lab. We at Anekam are clear that as educators we aim to ensure that technology integration happens early at school. Seamless tech integration is done right from the classroom to the labs to the library so that students have access to a variety of tools to help them achieve the best in content and learning.
All four labs: physics, chemistry, biology and social studies labs are well equipped with the latest equipment and technology and are safe for student learning. Lab assistants are available through school hours to assist students in these labs.
Mathematical activities are carried out in the Math lab for all grades starting from Foundational to Senior levels. The Math lab is the space where students get hands-on experience to understand some of the basic concepts of Mathematics. This lab is backed by technology and manipulatives and other teaching resources are available for teachers and learners.
The Administration Bay has the admissions office, the Principal office, the documentation and fee collection bay, the office of the campus administrator, the transport and maintenance office, and the reception zone.
Anekam Infirmary has a qualified nurse and on-call doctors, while an ambulance is always available for emergency services. The health and wellness of our children are of priority to us and quick medical assistance is made available. Wheelchairs are available in the campus and washrooms are also wheelchair accessible.
A nutritious diet welcomes each child at the cafeteria after sports training early in the morning, and lunch after a series of learning activities. The cafeteria is neat and hygienic, with the kitchen handled by skilled staff and professional cooks. No junk food is available on the school campus.
Anekam has buses that ply on pre-planned routes across the city, always keeping in mind the safety of our children. The school has a fleet of buses manned by well-trained drivers, conductors and lady attendants. All buses are equipped with safety kits, GPS services and are checked and monitored closely by the Transport in charge of the school.
The School campus has a well-planned and detailed security coverage. Cameras have been installed at vantage locations and the security personnel are trained to man the campus sensitively. Mandatory check at the main gate is a must and bus alighting and boarding points are inside the campus. Parents/visitors can enter the campus only after obtaining a visitor pass at the gates. Only parents/local guardians as mentioned during the admission time are permitted to pick up the child from school.
The school building and campus are disabled-friendly, and ramps are placed inside and outside the building apart from lifts to support kids who need physical support. Disabled-friendly toilets are provided inside the campus, and Anekam also promotes special sports for children who are physically challenged. Curriculum flexibility and assessment flexibility are taken care of while working with children who have learning disability and physical disability. Counsellors who are trained to handle children at this age are there to support children with regular counselling interventions and they together with the mainstream teachers make an inclusive learning ambience possible at Anekam.
